We are looking for an experienced Bookkeeper with a strong background in the construction industry. The ideal candidate will be proficient in QuickBooks Advanced, possess expertise in multi-state billing and AIA billing, and have a solid understanding of payroll and collections. This role requires a proactive individual who can manage multiple tasks efficiently and maintain accurate financial records.

Responsibilities:

Manage all aspects of daily bookkeeping operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger maintenance.
Perform advanced functions within QuickBooks, ensuring accurate and efficient financial reporting.
Process and manage multi-state billing, ensuring compliance with varying state regulations.
Prepare and submit AIA billing documentation, adhering to strict industry standards and deadlines.
Manage payroll processing, including calculating wages, deductions, and tax filings.
Oversee collections processes, ensuring timely payments and resolving discrepancies.
Reconcile bank statements and credit card transactions.
Prepare and present financial reports to management.
Maintain accurate and organized financial records.
Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures.
Collaborate with project managers and other team members to ensure accurate project costing.
Qualifications:

Proven experience as a Bookkeeper in the construction industry.
Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks.
Strong understanding of multi-state billing and AIA billing procedures.
Experience with payroll processing and related tax regulations.
Solid understanding of collections processes and best practices.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Knowledge of construction industry accounting principles.
Preferred Qualifications:

Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
