We are seeking an experienced Bookkeeper with leadership skills to join our construction team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, has strong accounting knowledge, and can oversee financial operations while guiding and supporting a small team.
Key Responsibilities:
-Manage day-to-day accounting functions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and job costing
-Oversee bookkeeping staff and provide leadership, training, and support
-Maintain accurate general ledger and prepare monthly financial reports
-Reconcile bank accounts and credit card statements
-Support budgeting, forecasting, and project cost tracking
-Ensure compliance with industry standards, tax regulations, and company policies
-Collaborate with project managers and leadership on financial planning and job performance analysis
Qualifications:
-3–5 years of bookkeeping/accounting experience (construction industry preferred)
-Leadership or supervisory experience strongly desired
-Proficiency in QuickBooks (or similar accounting software) and Microsoft Office Suite
-Strong understanding of payroll, job costing, and construction billing processes
-Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and problem-solving skills
-Ability to work independently while supporting a collaborative team environment
