Job Summary

We are seeking a Bioprocess Manufacturing Technician for a temporary contract opportunity in De Soto, KS. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented manufacturing or production professional who wants to gain hands-on experience in a regulated bioprocessing environment.

As a Bioprocess Manufacturing Technician, you will support antigen processing through centrifugation, sterile handling, equipment preparation, documentation, and production support activities. Aseptic procedures can be taught on the job, making this a strong opportunity for candidates with manufacturing experience who are dependable, quality-focused, and eager to learn.

Key Responsibilities

- Operate centrifuges to process and concentrate antigen batches according to established procedures.
- Follow aseptic processing techniques to help maintain sterile conditions and prevent contamination.
- Prepare, clean, set up, and sterilize production and processing equipment.
- Complete production records accurately using Good Documentation Practices.
- Follow Standard Operating Procedures, safety guidelines, and quality requirements.
- Support additional downstream production, cleaning, preparation, and material handling activities as needed.

Compensation and Benefits

- Pay rate: $20 per hour.
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM.
- Job type: Temporary contract.
- Location: De Soto, KS.
- Recruiting and retention bonus available up to $1,000 total.
- $250 bonus at 30 days.
- $250 bonus at 90 days.
- $500 bonus at 180 days.

Required Qualifications and Skills

- Operate centrifugation equipment for antigen processing and concentration.
- Maintain sterile processing conditions by following aseptic techniques.
- Prepare, clean, sterilize, and set up manufacturing equipment.
- Complete accurate batch and production documentation using GDP standards.

- High School Diploma or GED required.
- 1 to 3 years of manufacturing, production, or related hands-on work experience preferred.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality, safety, and compliance.
- Basic computer, communication, and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to follow SOPs, written instructions, safety procedures, and quality standards.
- Understanding of aseptic processing, Good Documentation Practices, and Standard Operating Procedures.
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment and perform repetitive tasks accurately.
- Ability to lift and move containers weighing up to 25 lbs., with occasional lifting up to 20 kg.

Preferred Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Biology or a related science field.
- Experience in bioprocessing, pharmaceutical, life sciences, laboratory, or regulated manufacturing environments.
- Knowledge of quality improvement processes.
- Familiarity with USDA regulations.
- Prior experience supporting downstream processing, sterile production, or cleanroom-style operations.
