NATURE OF THE POSITION
Assist Biomedical Service Technicians and the Supervisor in the tasks of installation, service, and repair of equipment with the objective of providing the highest quality service to our clients.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE POSITION
Perform diagnostics, repairs, and preventive maintenance on laboratory equipment that requires low or minimal complexity.
Assist Biomedical Service Technicians and the Supervisor with equipment installations and repairs.
Calibrate and certify low-complexity equipment.
Communicate with clients to gather information regarding equipment issues.
Prepare and submit to the immediate supervisor a daily report of diagnostics and services performed.
Submit the completed service sheet (ISO) upon completion of each service.
Continuously study and review equipment manuals in order to gain proficiency.
Participate in required trainings, take notes, study the material, and achieve the level of mastery needed to provide quality service.
Ensure that all interactions with clients are professional, courteous, and helpful at all times.
Consistently comply with the department’s established parameters for quality, timeliness, responsiveness, and execution.
ACADEMIC PREPARATION
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or
Associate degree in Biomedical Equipment Repair or equivalent.
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Minimum of one (1) year of customer service experience and at least 120 hours of practice performing tasks similar to those of a Biomedical Services Base Technician.
