Collections & Billing Clerk

A well-established full-service AV-rated law firm in Orlando is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Collections & Billing Clerk to join its accounting team. Candidates with a background in legal, professional services, or office accounting environments are highly preferred, though strong experience from other industries will also be considered.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is organized, professional, and looking to grow within a stable team environment. The ideal candidate will have strong administrative and accounting support skills, excellent attention to detail, and a solid work history with demonstrated longevity in previous roles.
Responsibilities:
Open and close client matters within firm software systems
Run conflict checks for new matter
Post expense vouchers and expenses to various ledgers
Assist with billing and collections activities
Meet with attorneys regarding collections matters
Handle client communications professionally and effectively
Perform filing, scanning, and document collation
Assist with month-end closing tasks
Provide administrative support to the Accounting Supervisor and Controller
Cross-train to provide backup support for Accounts Payable functions
Qualifications:
Previous experience in billing, collections, accounting support, or administrative office work
Law firm or professional services experience preferred
Strong data entry and general accounting knowledge
Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
High attention to detail and accuracy
Team-oriented attitude with willingness to learn and assist across departments
Stable work history preferred
