About the Role:
Our client is seeking an experienced Billing & Collections Clerk to join their team in a high-volume, fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have strong data entry skills, advanced Excel proficiency, and a solid work history with no significant gaps or frequent job changes. This is a temp-to-perm opportunity for someone ready to hit the ground running and contribute from day one.
Key Responsibilities:
Set up and maintain construction projects across multiple legal entities in the ERP system.
Generate and submit daily and weekly customer invoices.
Upload billing data into customer ERP systems.
Monitor invoice approvals and rejections; follow up as needed.
Resolve billing discrepancies with internal teams and external customers.
Communicate with customers regarding invoice status and outstanding balances.
Calculate and verify sales tax on all invoices.
Scan and attach supporting documentation to billing entries.
Audit billing entries for accuracy and completeness.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED required.
Strong data entry skills with high accuracy.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.
Ability to work across multiple systems simultaneously.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Self-starter with a strong work ethic and minimal need for supervision.
Must be available to start immediately.
Preferred Candidate Profile:
Stable work history with no significant employment gaps or frequent job changes.
Experience in billing and collections, especially in construction or service-based industries.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
