Billing Specialist – Medical Office
Location: Jacksonville, FL (8149 Point Meadows Way)
Pay: $20–$22 per hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM–4:30 PM or 8:00 AM–5:00 PM (flexible)
Employment Type: Temp-to-Hire (480 hours)

Job Summary
AppleOne is seeking a Billing Specialist to join a leading fertility healthcare organization. This role is ideal for candidates with medical billing experience who are detail-oriented, organized, and passionate about providing excellent patient service.

Responsibilities:
Process and manage daily billing functions for fertility patients
Collect and post patient payments accurately
Complete insurance prior authorizations and verify coverage
Communicate with private insurance carriers and navigate insurance portals
Respond to patient billing inquiries with professionalism and empathy
Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with billing policies and regulations
Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams for smooth operations

Qualifications:
1–2 years of experience in a medical office billing role
Knowledge of insurance verification and prior authorizations
Experience handling patient payments and billing transactions
Familiarity with insurance portals and private insurance carriers
Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and time management
Excellent communication and customer service skills
