We are seeking a detail-oriented Billing Clerk with construction billing experience to support our accounting team. This role focuses primarily on contract and construction billing, including preparation of AIA pay applications and coordination with Project Managers to ensure accurate and timely invoicing. Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and submit AIA Pay Applications using G702 and G703 forms
Maintain and update Schedules of Values (SOVs)
Perform progress billing in accordance with contract terms
Track, bill, and reconcile retainage
Manage portal billing for clients and general contractors
Process template billing and recurring billings as required
Coordinate closely with Project Managers to verify job progress, billing percentages, and supporting documentation
Assist with Accounts Receivable (AR) functions, with a primary focus on construction/contract billing
Ensure compliance with contract requirements and billing deadlines
Resolve billing discrepancies and respond to client inquiries
Qualifications:
Prior experience in construction or contract billing required
Hands-on experience with AIA billing (G702/G703) strongly preferred
Knowledge of SOVs, retainage, and progress billing
Experience with billing portals and construction accounting systems
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
Effective communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
Preferred Skills:
Familiarity with construction accounting software (e.g., Sage, Viewpoint, Procore, Timberline)
Understanding of lien waivers and contract compliance.
