Detail of Duties and Responsibilities for the Billing Clerk Position

Manages various service billing processes (electronic, regular, or manual).

Handles special billing instructions for clients who require them.

Reviews final invoices to ensure accuracy, data integrity, and compliance with client requirements.

Processes electronic billing, submits it to clients, and follows up until invoices are paid.

Monitors and follows up on validations, approvals, and rejections of electronic invoices.

Analyzes rejected electronic invoices and makes necessary corrections.

Maintains the electronic billing system database up to date with respect to special billing agreements.

Updates files and monitors compliance with billing requirements (e.g., rate updates and special rates).

Essential Requirements:

Must have extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office and ideally of electronic billing systems.

Should have some exposure to or experience in service billing.

Ability to understand verbal and written instructions.

Ability to create reports in Excel.

Skilled in handling and using computer equipment and programs, such as Passport, etc.

Must be proficient in both English and Spanish (spoken and written), including grammar and usage rules.
