Billing Clerk
Location: Bakersfield, CA
Employment Type: Temp to Perm
Pay Rate: $20–$23 per hour DOE
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Billing Clerk to join an established oil and gas company in Bakersfield. This is a temp-to-perm opportunity within the Billing Department, supporting both Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable teams. The ideal candidate is comfortable with data entry, enjoys working with numbers, and is eager to learn in a supportive environment.
Responsibilities:
Assist AP and AR leads with daily billing and accounting support
Perform high-volume data entry with accuracy
Enter, review, and verify billing information
Assist with invoicing, payment posting, and billing reconciliation
Maintain organized and accurate billing records
Communicate with internal teams regarding billing questions
Required Skills & Qualifications:
MUST HAVE Minimum 2 years of recent billing experience
Experience with data entry or billing support preferred
Excel required; QuickBooks helpful
Strong math skills and attention to detail
Excellent communication skills
