Bilingual HR/Payroll Specialist (Direct Hire)
Delano, CA

A reputable agriculture company o is looking for an experienced and dependable Bilingual (English/Spanish) HR/Payroll Specialist to join their office team. This role plays a key part in managing payroll and supporting HR functions for field and office employees. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, discreet, and experienced with agricultural labor requirements and payroll systems.

Responsibilities
Payroll Duties
Process weekly payroll for field workers and staff in accordance with California labor laws
Maintain accurate records of hours worked, piece rates, and wage calculations
Review and verify timecards, piecework sheets, and crew rosters
Ensure timely submission of W-2s, garnishments, and other payroll documents
Collaborate with foremen and supervisors to resolve payroll discrepancies

Human Resources Support
Conduct recruiting, onboarding, orientations, and assist with hiring paperwork
Maintain up-to-date employee files and ensure I-9, E-Verify, and compliance records are accurate
Track leaves of absence, terminations, and worker documentation
Respond to employee questions regarding pay, policies, and procedures
Support the HR Manager with audits, training, and employee relations

Requirements
Bilingual: Fluent in English and Spanish (written and verbal) – required
2+ years of experience in HR and/or payroll, preferably in agriculture or an FLC setting
Knowledge of California labor laws, wage orders, and piece-rate compliance
Experience with payroll software (e.g., Datatech, Famous, AgStar, or similar)
