Job Summary

A Bilingual Collector is needed for a temp-to-hire opportunity with a leading vacation ownership and hospitality organization in the Maitland, FL area. This 100% on-site role is ideal for an English/Spanish bilingual professional who enjoys customer communication, problem-solving, and helping customers resolve past-due account balances in a respectful and solution-focused way.

Key Responsibilities

- Contact customers regarding past-due mortgage, HOA, and maintenance fee balances.
- Conduct collection outreach by phone and other communication channels in English and Spanish.
- Negotiate payment arrangements and account solutions within established company guidelines.
- Monitor assigned accounts, document collection activity, and take timely action to resolve delinquent balances.
- Research and resolve payment discrepancies, account questions, and customer concerns.
- Escalate accounts as needed while maintaining confidentiality and compliance with company policies and applicable regulations.

Compensation and Benefits

- Pay: $18 per hour.
- Position type: Temp-to-hire.
- Work location: 100% on-site in Maitland, FL.
- Schedule: Two days from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., Monday and Tuesday, and three days from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
- Weekends: Closed unless overtime is offered.
- Bonus options available once permanent.
- Potential for a hybrid schedule once permanent.



Required Qualifications and Skills

- Manage outbound collection calls for past-due mortgage, HOA, and maintenance fee accounts.
- Negotiate payment arrangements while following company guidelines and compliance requirements.
- Maintain accurate documentation of customer communications and collection activity.
- Partner with customer service, accounting, finance, and servicing teams to resolve account issues.

- Bilingual English/Spanish required.
- 1 to 2 years of relevant experience required, with 2 or more years of collections, customer service, call center, sales, mortgage servicing, or related experience preferred.
- Prior collections experience strongly preferred.
- Call center experience with high-volume outbound calling is a plus.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Professional and confident telephone presence.
- Ability to handle sensitive financial conversations with empathy, professionalism, and discretion.
- Excellent attention to detail, organization, and follow-through.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment.
- Typing speed of at least 35 WPM required, with typing speed testing required.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality required.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience in vacation ownership, mortgage, real estate, hospitality, or financial services.
- Experience resolving account or payment discrepancies.
- Familiarity with customer account servicing, delinquency resolution, or payment plan negotiation.
- Ability to meet productivity, quality, attendance, and performance expectations in a structured call center environment.
