Job Summary
We are seeking a Bilingual Collector for a contract opportunity in Fort Worth, TX, supporting early-stage collections within the banking and consumer lending industry. This role focuses on helping customers resolve 1 to 30 day past due accounts through professional communication, payment solutions, and compliant collection practices.
The Bilingual Collector will work in a structured, customer-focused environment with on-site training, clear procedures, and collaboration across teams in Mexico and the United States. This is a strong opportunity for a collections professional who is fluent in English and Spanish, enjoys problem solving, and wants to contribute to portfolio performance while delivering a respectful customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect delinquent payments and secure customer payment commitments through inbound and outbound phone calls and written communication.
- Negotiate appropriate payment arrangements with customers experiencing financial difficulty while maintaining compliance with approved procedures and regulatory requirements.
- Research accounts when contact is unsuccessful by reviewing customer records, contacting references on file, updating demographic information, and using approved resources to locate customers or collateral.
- Manage Car/Van account call volumes while supporting early-stage delinquency cures and helping prevent accounts from rolling into late-stage collections.
- Monitor and meet performance expectations related to cure rates, roll rates, productivity, call quality, and adherence.
- Identify potential risks, process gaps, or training material improvements and provide feedback or recommendations to leadership.
Compensation and Benefits
- Salary range: $65,000 to $70,000 per year.
- Job type: Contract/Temporary.
- Location: Fort Worth, TX 76177.
- Training schedule: First two days from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. CST, then 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. CST.
- Training will be conducted on-site at the office.
- Regular schedule after training: Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. CST.
- Work arrangement after training: Hybrid schedule with four days per week in office and one day remote.
- Anticipated assignment start date: August 31, 2026.

Required Qualifications and Skills
- Manage early-stage delinquent account collections for consumer lending accounts.
- Handle inbound and outbound collections calls while securing payment commitments.
- Research customer contact information using approved resources and account records.
- Support compliance, account resolution, and portfolio performance metrics.
- 1 to 2 years of relevant collections, customer service, finance, banking, or consumer lending experience.
- Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish required, including reading, writing, and speaking.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with PC systems and the ability to accurately update customer account information.
- Customer service-focused approach with professional communication skills.
- Self-motivated, driven, and able to work effectively in a metrics-based environment.
- Team-oriented mindset with the ability to collaborate across U.S. and Mexico-based teams.
- Ability to follow established compliance controls, procedures, and operational strategies.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in auto finance, consumer lending, banking, or financial services collections.
- Familiarity with early-stage delinquency management, cure rates, roll rates, and call quality expectations.
- Experience working in a hybrid, call center, or high-volume account management environment.
