Job Summary

A professional office in Charleston, SC is seeking a Bilingual (English-Spanish) Administrative Assistant to support a temporary contract assignment. This role is ideal for a friendly, dependable professional who enjoys helping people, providing compassionate customer service, and keeping communication organized in a fast-paced office setting.

You will be the first point of contact for Spanish-speaking clients by phone and in person, helping ensure they are greeted professionally, screened accurately, and connected with the appropriate team members.

Key Responsibilities

- Answer and route incoming calls from Spanish-speaking clients in a professional and courteous manner.
- Conduct basic initial client screenings in both English and Spanish by phone and in person.
- Greet and assist Spanish-speaking walk-in clients with professionalism, empathy, and confidentiality.
- Accurately communicate information between clients and internal staff.
- Provide compassionate customer service while maintaining a calm and helpful office presence.
- Assist with light administrative tasks as needed during downtime between calls and client visits.

Compensation and Benefits

- Pay rate: $18 to $20 per hour based on experience.
- Employment type: Temporary contract.

- Fluency in both Spanish and English, with strong verbal communication skills.
- 3-5 years of related experience preferred based on role level.
- Strong customer service, reception, or administrative support skills.
- Professional phone etiquette and clear communication style.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle client interactions with empathy.
- Reliable, punctual, and comfortable working in a professional office environment.
- Ability to remain helpful and productive during periods of downtime.

Preferred Qualifications

- Previous experience in customer service, reception, call handling, or administrative support.
- Experience working with clients, visitors, or community-based services in a professional office setting.
- Comfort assisting individuals who may need guidance, patience, and compassionate communication.
