Our client, a well-established Third-Party Administrator (TPA) providing health and welfare benefit administration services to union plans is looking to hire a Bilingual Accounting Representative. Their team is committed to accuracy, integrity, and personalized service for the members they support. We are currently seeking a Bilingual (English/Spanish) Accounting Representative with Accounts Receivable experience to join their dynamic accounting team.
Position Summary:
The Accounting Representative will be responsible for managing and reconciling employer contributions, preparing account statements, and providing support for audits and monthly financial reporting. The ideal candidate will be fluent in English and Spanish, possess strong attention to detail, and hold a degree in Accounting.
Key Responsibilities:
Process and reconcile accounts receivable, including employer contributions and payments
Investigate and resolve discrepancies related to receivables and employer remittances
Communicate with employers and union representatives in both English and Spanish regarding contribution status and billing inquiries
Maintain accurate records of contributions and prepare reports for internal departments
Assist in month-end closings and provide audit support
Support other accounting functions and cross-train as needed
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field (required)
1–3 years of experience in accounts receivable or general accounting
Bilingual in English and Spanish (verbal and written communication required)
Strong Excel skills and experience with accounting software
Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Prior experience in a TPA or union benefits environment is a plus
