A Benefits Specialist is needed to support a Health & Welfare Benefits Department in Windsor, CA. This temporary, 100% onsite position runs through the end of June and offers a steady Monday–Friday schedule (8:30 AM–5:00 PM). The role involves assisting employees, retirees, and district staff with benefits inquiries, enrollment, claims resolution, and maintaining accurate eligibility data. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong administrative skills who wants hands-on experience in benefits administration.

Responsibilities
• Resolve benefits, enrollment, and claims questions for employees and retirees.
• Maintain accurate eligibility information in benefits systems.
• Assist with enrollment forms, status changes, and documentation reviews.
• Process premium payments, deposits, and account reconciliation.
• Prepare reports, data summaries, and correspondence.
• Provide customer service and support to internal and external partners.

Qualifications
• 1+ year of experience in benefits, eligibility, or HR support.
• 1+ year of experience with accounting or fiscal record management.
• Typing speed of 50 WPM.
• Strong skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Ability to manage data with accuracy and handle frequent interruptions.
• Valid CA driver’s license and transportation for occasional local travel.
