Overview

A highly regarded organization is seeking an experienced Benefits Manager to lead and enhance its employee benefits programs. This role is ideal for a strategic, detail-oriented professional with deep expertise in both Health & Welfare and retirement plans.

This is a selective search for a candidate who can elevate benefits offerings, ensure compliance, and deliver an exceptional employee experience.

Key Responsibilities
Lead the design, implementation, and administration of comprehensive benefits programs, including health, retirement, disability, and wellness offerings
Oversee daily benefits operations, ensuring accuracy in payroll-related deductions and reporting
Manage the full lifecycle of Open Enrollment, including planning, system setup, vendor coordination, and communications
Partner with brokers and external vendors to evaluate renewals, benchmark plans, and identify cost-effective improvements
Develop and execute employee education and communication strategies around benefits and wellness programs
Administer and track leave of absence programs in coordination with internal stakeholders
Monitor program effectiveness and recommend enhancements aligned with organizational goals
Ensure full compliance with all applicable federal and state regulations (ACA, ERISA, COBRA, FMLA, ADA, etc.)
Maintain accurate plan documentation, records, and reporting
Support budgeting and financial planning related to benefits programs
Serve as the primary liaison with consultants, actuaries, and insurance carriers
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field
6–10 years of progressive experience in benefits administration
Strong expertise in both health & welfare and retirement plan management (required)
Experience managing complex benefits programs in a professional services environment preferred
Proficiency with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office tools (especially Excel and PowerPoint)
Demonstrated project management and leadership capabilities
Deep knowledge of benefits regulations and compliance requirements
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
Preferred Credentials
SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, and/or CEBS certification
