Schedule: Monday–Thursday 8:30 AM–4:30 PM, Friday 8:00 AM–3:00 PM
Qualifications:
• Proven experience in benefits management
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and general computer literacy
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and management skills
• Highly organized with attention to detail
• Extensive knowledge of employee benefits and applicable laws
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Licensed in New York Accident and Health Insurance
• Experience with Medicare preferred
Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Benefits Manager to oversee and administer our employee benefits program. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate enrollment, maintaining compliance, and providing clear communication to members regarding their health insurance and benefit options. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational abilities, a deep understanding of benefits processes, and the ability to effectively counsel employees on benefit-related matters.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop, implement, and maintain benefit programs, policies, and procedures
• Interpret and resolve employee questions regarding benefit policies
• Provide guidance to employees on benefits-related issues and program changes
• Ensure accurate benefits enrollment in HRIS and communicate eligibility to vendors
• Maintain up-to-date records of member benefit profiles
• Assist members with enrollment and termination processes, including COBRA documentation
• Liaise with medical and insurance providers to resolve issues
• Prepare and execute annual open enrollment
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
• Manage accounts payable and carrier reconciliation
• Oversee accounts receivable and billing program
