We are seeking an experienced Banker for a direct hire opportunity in San Jose, CA. This role is ideal for a banking professional with hands-on account-opening experience who enjoys building client relationships, identifying financial needs, and recommending products that support customers’ goals. As a Banker, you will work closely with consumer and business clients while supporting daily branch operations. Responsibilities

- Open and manage consumer and business accounts, including checking, savings, CDs, IRAs, Trusts, and Estate accounts.

- Provide consultative financial solutions by actively listening to client needs and recommending appropriate banking products.

- Support teller transactions as needed while maintaining accuracy, professionalism, and compliance.

- Respond to client inquiries efficiently and deliver a high level of customer service.

- Identify opportunities to support branch growth through new business development and relationship-building.

- Maintain compliance with internal policies and banking regulations, including BSA requirements.




Required Qualifications and Skills

- 2+ years of banking teller experience.

- Experience opening consumer accounts and basic business accounts.

- Knowledge of BSA requirements, account titling, and standard banking procedures.

- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and banking systems.

- Strong customer service, communication, and relationship-building skills.

- Sound judgment with the ability to handle confidential client information professionally.



Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with CDs, IRAs, Trust accounts, and business account servicing.

- Prior experience supporting branch sales goals, client referrals, or cross-selling banking products.

- Familiarity with community banking or relationship-based branch environments.
