The Automation Engineer Supervisor is responsible for supervising, coordinating, and executing industrial automation projects, ensuring efficient and safe operation of electrical and control systems. This role requires advanced knowledge in electricity, PLCs, industrial controllers, sensors, actuators, and automation systems, as well as technical leadership to guide the maintenance and engineering team.
Key Responsibilities:
-Supervise the operation, maintenance, and optimization of automated and electrical systems in the plant.
-Program, troubleshoot, and support PLCs (KCH, Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Omron, etc.).
-Analyze system failures and implement improvements in control, instrumentation, and automated machinery.
-Ensure proper integration between electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment.
-Coordinate preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities for automated systems.
-Design and modify electrical and control schematics according to production requirements.
-Lead continuous improvement projects focused on efficiency, safety, and minimizing unplanned downtime.
-Ensure compliance with electrical, industrial, and environmental safety standards.
-Supervise maintenance technicians and contractors, ensuring adherence to quality and timing standards.
-Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality departments to ensure equipment reliability.
Minimum Requirements:
-Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering with PLC and controls
-Proven knowledge of PLCs (KCH, Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Omron, etc.), instrumentation, and SCADA/HMI systems.
-Experience in maintenance and programming of automated machinery.
-Strong knowledge of industrial electricity, motor control, sensors, and VFDs (variable frequency drives).
-Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and control diagrams.
-Availability to work all three shifts (day, evening, night) as required by operations.
-Knowledge of electrical safety, OSHA regulations, and GMP practices.
