A direct hire opportunity is available for an experienced Audio Repair Technician in Nashville, TN. This role is ideal for a skilled electronics technician who enjoys hands-on component-level repair, precision soldering, technical troubleshooting, and working with professional audio technology used in studios, conference rooms, live venues, streaming environments, and professional productions.
The Audio Repair Technician will diagnose, repair, test, and maintain professional audio and electronics equipment, including wireless systems, microphones, headphones, speakers, digital audio interfaces, and network-connected devices. Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair professional audio equipment at the component and circuit-board level.
- Perform advanced soldering, desoldering, and electronic rework on printed circuit boards and related components.
- Service wireless systems, wired microphones, headphones, speakers, digital audio interfaces, networking devices, and hybrid hardware/software products.
- Read and interpret electronic schematics, technical diagrams, service documentation, and repair instructions.
- Complete warranty repairs, preventive maintenance, equipment testing, and assigned service requests accurately and efficiently.
- Document repair activity, parts used, test results, technical findings, and customer communication in a clear and professional manner.
Compensation and Benefits
- Compensation: $50,000 to $70,000 per year DOE

Required Qualifications and Skills
- Diagnose and repair professional audio and electronics equipment at the component and circuit-board level.
- Perform precision soldering, desoldering, rework, testing, and quality verification.
- Complete warranty repairs, preventive maintenance, and service documentation.
- Troubleshoot equipment involving both hardware and software components.
- 3 to 5 years of related professional experience preferred.
- Professional soldering and desoldering experience, including component-level electronic repair.
- Experience repairing complex professional audio, video, or related electronic equipment.
- Ability to complete advanced repairs independently and without direct supervision.
- Ability to read and understand electronic schematics, technical diagrams, and service documentation.
- Knowledge of digital audio and networking protocols such as DANTE, AES67, or similar technologies.
- Experience troubleshooting software and hardware hybrid products.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Associate degree from a two-year college or technical school, or two to four years of related professional experience.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Ability to communicate technical findings, recommended repairs, and completed service clearly and professionally.
- No electrical license is required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience repairing wireless audio systems, microphones, headphones, speakers, digital audio interfaces, or network-connected audio equipment.
- Familiarity with electrical safety standards related to device-level electronics repair.
- Background working with professional studio, broadcast, conference, live-event, or commercial audio equipment.
- Experience supporting products used in professional audio, streaming, production, or commercial AV environments.
