Job Summary

We are seeking an Audio Annotation Clerk for a temporary, 100% on-site opportunity in Lake Mary, FL. This role supports innovative technology and AI-related projects by reviewing audio recordings, evaluating voice quality, and accurately labeling audio characteristics according to established guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

- Listen to and analyze audio recordings for quality, consistency, and natural-sounding voice characteristics.
- Identify changes in speaker, tone, voice quality, emotion, or audio clarity.
- Apply labels, classifications, and documentation according to detailed project guidelines.
- Review longer audio files while maintaining focus, accuracy, and productivity.
- Follow quality standards and complete repetitive tasks with consistency and attention to detail.
- Work independently in a structured production environment using digital systems.

Compensation and Benefits

- Pay: $18/hour.
- Job Type: Contract/Temporary.
- Location: Lake Mary, FL.
- Work Arrangement: 100% on-site.
- Training Schedule: 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
- Hours: The position may have less than 40 hours per week depending on available workload.
- Assignment Duration: Temporary through approximately the end of September, with possibility of extension.

- Review and evaluate audio recordings for voice quality, tone, consistency, and speaker changes.
- Accurately label and document audio characteristics based on established guidelines.
- Maintain high accuracy and focus while completing repetitive audio review tasks.
- Support AI-related data annotation and quality review projects.
- 1 to 2 years of relevant work experience preferred.
- Excellent listening skills and strong attention to detail.
- Ability to remain focused while listening to lengthy audio recordings.
- Strong reading comprehension and ability to follow detailed written instructions.
- Ability to recognize subtle changes in voice, tone, speaker, or audio quality.
- Strong computer skills and comfort working with digital systems.
- Good typing and data entry skills.
- Patient, consistent, and comfortable performing repetitive tasks.
- Ability to work independently in a structured production environment.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with audio annotation or data annotation.
- Transcription or speech-to-text experience.
- Audio editing experience.
- Experience identifying speakers or changes between speakers.
- Experience evaluating voice quality, tone, or emotion.
- Familiarity with audio editing or analysis software such as Audacity, ELAN, or Praat.
- AI training, data labeling, or similar quality review project experience.
- Freelance AI trainer or data-labeling experience.
