A direct hire opportunity is available for an Associate Attorney (Litigation) in Tampa, FL. This role is ideal for a litigation attorney who wants to handle meaningful commercial, business, civil, insurance, property, and contract dispute matters while continuing to build courtroom, deposition, motion practice, and case strategy experience.

The Associate Attorney will work in a professional legal services environment with opportunities to manage cases from inception through resolution, collaborate with experienced attorneys and legal staff, and take on visible responsibility in complex litigation matters. Key Responsibilities

- Manage commercial, business, civil, contract, insurance, and property litigation matters from case intake through resolution.
- Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests and responses, legal memoranda, and other litigation documents.
- Conduct legal research, analyze complex legal issues, and develop litigation strategies and recommendations.
- Take and defend depositions, attend hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trials.
- Prepare clients and witnesses for litigation proceedings and communicate with clients, opposing counsel, experts, and court personnel.
- Maintain case files, litigation calendars, deadlines, and case management responsibilities with accuracy and professionalism.

Compensation and Benefits

- Salary range: $120,000 to $165,000 per year.

Required Qualifications and Skills

- Manage commercial and business litigation matters from inception through resolution.
- Draft motions, pleadings, discovery, memoranda, and other litigation documents.
- Conduct legal research and develop case strategies for complex litigation matters.
- Participate in depositions, hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trials.

- Active Florida Bar license required.
- 3 to 5 years of litigation experience preferred for this level, with candidates with at least 2 years of strong litigation experience considered.
- Strong legal writing, legal research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience managing multiple litigation matters, priorities, and deadlines.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Professional, organized, detail-oriented approach with the ability to collaborate effectively with attorneys, staff, clients, experts, and court personnel.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience in commercial litigation, business litigation, civil litigation, contract disputes, insurance litigation, or property litigation.
- Deposition, mediation, arbitration, hearing, or trial preparation experience.
- Ability to independently manage day-to-day litigation tasks while contributing to larger case strategy.
- Strong client communication skills and comfort working on complex, deadline-driven matters.
