Key Responsibilities

- Handle insurance defense matters and advocate professionally on behalf of clients.
- Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, legal correspondence, and case-related documents.
- Collaborate with senior attorneys, paralegals, and legal staff to develop case strategy and prepare for litigation.
- Assist with hearings, discovery, case preparation, and litigation support activities.
- Manage deadlines, communicate effectively, and support efficient case progression in a fast-paced legal setting.

Compensation and Benefits

- Salary range: $85,000 to $100,000 per year.
- Direct hire opportunity.

Required Qualifications and Skills

- Handle insurance defense matters and support litigation strategy from case preparation through resolution.
- Draft pleadings, motions, correspondence, and other legal documents with accuracy and professionalism.
- Conduct legal research and assist with hearings, discovery, and litigation support.
- Collaborate with attorneys and legal staff to move cases forward efficiently.

- J.D. from an accredited law school.
- Active Florida Bar membership or awaiting Bar Exam results.
- 0 to 3 years of legal experience, with interest in insurance defense litigation.
- Strong legal research, writing, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven, team-oriented legal environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe, and Outlook.
- Professional demeanor, strong attention to detail, and commitment to client service.

Preferred Qualifications

- Prior internship, clerkship, or law firm experience related to litigation, insurance defense, civil litigation, or claims matters.
- Interest in developing long-term litigation and advocacy skills within an insurance defense practice.
- Experience assisting with discovery, motion practice, hearings, or case preparation.
