The firm is dedicated to the efficient recovery of debts and subrogation claims while maintaining a professional and supportive work environment. Position Overview: We are seeking an Associate Attorney to join our team. The ideal candidate will represent clients in hearings, trials, mediations, and other legal proceedings while managing a caseload of debt collection and subrogation matters. This role requires strong litigation experience, excellent negotiation skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities: Represent clients in hearings, trials, mediations, depositions, and post-judgment recovery. Negotiate settlements and pursue legal remedies for debt collection and subrogation cases. Draft and review pleadings, complaints, settlement agreements, and related legal documents. Conduct legal research, gather evidence, and prepare cases for litigation. Manage a high-volume caseload, ensuring deadlines are met and clients are updated. Collaborate with opposing counsel, judges, and court staff. Provide legal guidance to support staff and ensure compliance with applicable laws. Stay current with state and federal debt collection and subrogation laws. Qualifications: Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school. Active membership in good standing with the Florida Bar. Minimum 1 year of experience in debt collection and/or subrogation litigation. Valid Florida Driver’s License. Strong knowledge of debtor/creditor rights, litigation process, and compliance requirements. Exceptional research, drafting, and negotiation skills. Highly organized with the ability to manage deadlines and multiple priorities. Work Environment: Full-time, Monday – Friday, 8 AM – 5 PM in Cocoa, FL.
