We are seeking an experienced Assistant Warehouse Manager for a direct hire opportunity in Jacksonville, FL with an established wholesale HVAC distribution operation. This role is ideal for a hands-on warehouse leader who understands inventory control, shipping and receiving, team supervision, and the fast-paced service expectations of HVAC parts, supplies, and equipment distribution.

The Assistant Warehouse Manager will help lead daily warehouse operations while supporting a positive, team-focused environment built on safety, accountability, service, and continuous improvement. Responsibilities

- Oversee daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, picking, packing, shipping, order fulfillment, and inventory control.
- Supervise, train, schedule, and develop warehouse team members while supporting performance, attendance, safety, and productivity standards.
- Lead inventory management activities, including cycle counts, annual physical inventory, bin location maintenance, and inventory accuracy initiatives.
- Coordinate with customer service, operations, and other departments to meet shipping, pick-up, delivery, and service expectations.
- Maintain a safe, organized, and efficient warehouse environment while ensuring compliance with OSHA guidelines and company safety procedures.
- Operate as a hands-on leader by assisting with warehouse worker, forklift operator, selector, maintenance, and shipping/receiving duties as needed.

Compensation and Benefits

- Compensation: $65,000 per year.
- Job Type: Direct hire.

Required Qualifications and Skills

- Lead daily warehouse operations for a wholesale HVAC distribution environment.
- Manage inventory control, cycle counts, shipping, receiving, order fulfillment, and warehouse layout efficiency.
- Supervise, mentor, and train warehouse employees while supporting safety, service, and productivity goals.

- 5+ years of warehouse management experience.
- Minimum 1-2 years of warehouse operations experience within the HVAC industry, including HVAC parts, products, equipment, or supply house operations.
- Proficiency with warehouse management systems, inventory control software, and Microsoft Office products.
- Strong inventory control, cycle counting, order fulfillment, and warehouse process management experience.
- Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations, warehouse safety practices, and proper material handling procedures.
- Valid forklift certification.
- Proven ability to manage, train, mentor, and motivate warehouse employees.
- Working knowledge of air conditioning, heating, and ventilation equipment at a wholesale distribution level.
- Strong organizational, communication, problem-solving, and customer service skills.
