Job Summary

We are seeking an Assistant Warehouse Manager for a direct hire opportunity with an established wholesale HVAC distribution operation in Jacksonville, FL. This role is ideal for a hands-on warehouse leader with HVAC industry experience who can manage daily warehouse operations, lead a team, maintain inventory accuracy, and support excellent customer service.

The Assistant Warehouse Manager will play a key role in keeping warehouse operations efficient, safe, and organized. Key Responsibilities

- Oversee daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, picking, packing, shipping, inventory control, and customer pick-up activities.
- Lead, train, schedule, and support warehouse employees while maintaining accurate attendance, overtime, and performance records.
- Manage inventory control processes, including cycle counts, annual physical inventory, bin location maintenance, and order fulfillment accuracy.
- Ensure a safe, clean, and compliant warehouse environment by following OSHA standards, company safety programs, and proper product handling procedures.
- Coordinate with internal teams to meet shipping, receiving, customer service, and operational deadlines.
- Operate as needed in hands-on warehouse functions, including forklift operation, product selection, equipment handling, and general maintenance support.

Compensation and Benefits

- Salary: $65,000 per year.
- Job Type: Direct hire.
- Schedule: Full-time, Monday through Friday, 7:30am to 4:30pm.
- Location: Jacksonville, FL 32218.
- May require flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.



Required Qualifications and Skills

- Manage daily warehouse operations for an HVAC wholesale distribution environment.
- Lead inventory control activities, including cycle counts, physical inventory, order fulfillment, and stock accuracy.
- Supervise, train, schedule, and mentor warehouse employees.
- Support safe product handling, shipping, receiving, customer pick-up, and equipment operation.

- 5 or more years of warehouse management experience.
- Minimum 1 to 2 years of warehouse operations experience within the HVAC industry, including HVAC equipment, parts, and product lines.
- Experience in a wholesale HVAC equipment supply house is strongly preferred for success in this role.
- Proficiency with warehouse management systems, inventory control software, and Microsoft Office products.
- Valid forklift certification.
- Strong knowledge of inventory control, order fulfillment, receiving, shipping, and warehouse layout optimization.
- Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations, warehouse safety practices, and safe equipment operation.
- Proven ability to lead, manage, train, and mentor warehouse personnel.
- Proficiency with air conditioning, heating, and ventilation equipment at a wholesale distribution level.
- Strong organizational, communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prioritize work, meet critical deadlines, and manage multiple operational demands.
- Mechanical or technical background.
- Ability to be mobile throughout the warehouse for extended periods.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
- Ability to work in various temperature conditions and perform standing, bending, and reaching as needed.
- Must bring a positive attitude, willingness to learn, and interest in growing with the organization.

Preferred Qualifications

- Associate degree or bachelor's degree preferred.
- Prior experience managing warehouse operations in a wholesale HVAC distribution setting.
- Experience training employees on forklift operation, product handling, driver procedures, and inventory damage prevention.
- Prior success managing warehouse budgets, controlling operational costs, and improving warehouse efficiency.
