We are hiring a Assistant Maintenance Technician for a 100-unit residential community in Bedford, TX. The Assistant Maintenance Technician is responsible for overseeing all aspects of property maintenance, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and appliance repairs. The role includes completing service requests, conducting regular property inspections, and ensuring the property is maintained to company standards. Preventive maintenance is a key part of the role, including scheduling and performing routine servicing of building systems and equipment.
This position requires leadership skills to guide and support maintenance staff, coordinate with vendors and contractors, and ensure safety protocols are followed. The technician will also participate in an on-call rotation for after-hours emergencies and must respond to urgent maintenance issues with professionalism and efficiency.
Additional responsibilities include managing inventory of tools and supplies, assisting with budget control, and maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities. The ideal candidate will have at least three years of residential maintenance experience, with one year in a leadership role. Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and appliance repair is required. EPA Universal Certification is preferred, and CPO certification is a plus. Candidates must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
