About the Role:
We’re looking for a dependable and hands-on Facilities Assistant to help keep our three locations running smoothly. Working closely with the Facilities Director, you’ll take care of everyday repairs, preventative maintenance, and the little fixes that make a big difference in keeping our spaces safe and welcoming. If you’re the kind of person who likes solving problems, working with your hands, and taking pride in keeping things in good shape, this could be a great fit for you.

What You’ll Do:

Take care of light groundskeeping and make sure outdoor areas look neat.

Handle small electrical fixes like replacing lightbulbs.

Do light plumbing work (sinks, toilets, leaks).

Take care of minor repairs—changing air filters, fixing doors, windows, and walls.

Help install appliances or equipment when needed.

Keep maintenance records up to date.

Perform inspections and preventative upkeep to stop small issues from becoming big ones.

Take care of painting, general repairs, and safety checks.

Lend a hand to other team members when needed.

What We’re Looking For:

High School Diploma or GED.

Reliable, steady worker with a strong work ethic.

Comfortable reading, writing, and speaking English (Spanish is a plus!).

Able to pass a background check.

Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and reliable vehicle.

Basic tools and general knowledge of home repairs, plumbing, painting, and light electrical.

A self-starter who can also work well with others.

Flexible and open to learning new things.

Willing to travel between Santa Barbara and Santa Maria as needed.

Available for occasional after-hours emergencies.

If you enjoy variety in your day, take pride in fixing things, and like being part of a supportive team, we’d love to hear from you!
