We are looking for an Assistant Controller to support and oversee daily accounting operations, ensure accurate financial reporting, and help drive financial strategy. This role works closely with leadership to improve processes, maintain strong internal controls, and support business growth.

Responsibilities

Oversee daily accounting operations (A/P, A/R, cash flow, and general ledger)
Support and lead month-end and year-end close processes
Prepare and review financial statements with variance analysis
Ensure accuracy of the general ledger and account reconciliations
Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning
Monitor cash flow and provide insights to leadership
Maintain internal controls and ensure compliance with GAAP
Support audits and coordinate with external auditors/CPAs
Supervise accounting staff and provide guidance when needed
Improve processes and support ERP/system implementations
Partner with leadership to support financial decision-making

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
5+ years of progressive accounting experience
Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting
Experience with month-end close and financial statements
Advanced Excel skills and experience with accounting systems (ERP preferred)
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Preferred

Experience in construction or project-based accounting
Experience with job costing and margin analysis
CPA or CPA-track is a plus
Experience with ERP systems
