Job Summary

We are seeking an Assembly Technician for a hands-on manufacturing opportunity in Waltham, MA. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented production professional with 1 to 2 years of assembly experience who enjoys working with mechanical components, wiring, soldering, and precision production tasks.

This position offers a stable Monday through Friday schedule, consistent daytime hours, and the potential for permanent hire after the contract period. Key Responsibilities

- Assemble mechanical products and components according to work instructions, blueprints, drawings, and production standards.
- Perform bonding, wiring, potting, hand soldering, cable assembly, and related manufacturing assembly tasks.
- Operate basic production equipment and inspect completed products for quality, accuracy, and workmanship.
- Complete work orders, document production activity, and maintain accurate records.
- Identify and report quality issues, equipment concerns, or process discrepancies to the appropriate team members.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area while supporting Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement practices.

Compensation and Benefits

- Pay: $20 to $24 per hour.
- Assignment pay listed at $24.00 per hour.
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM.
- Job Type: 1-year contract with potential for permanent hire.
- Location: Waltham, MA.

Required Qualifications and Skills

- Assemble mechanical components, subassemblies, and finished products in a manufacturing environment.
- Perform hand soldering, wiring, bonding, potting, and cable assembly tasks.
- Read and follow blueprints, work instructions, and production documentation.
- Inspect finished products and maintain accurate production records.

- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 1 to 2 years of manufacturing, production, or assembly experience required.
- Strong manual dexterity and ability to perform precise, repetitive assembly tasks.
- Ability to follow written instructions, production procedures, and quality standards.
- Basic computer skills preferred for documentation and production tracking.
- Strong attention to detail, reliability, and commitment to safe work practices.
- Ability to lift up to 20 lbs. and stand, walk, or sit for an 8-hour shift.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience working in a Lean Manufacturing environment.
- Prior experience with hand soldering, cable assembly, wiring, bonding, or potting.
- Familiarity with production documentation, work orders, and quality inspection processes.
