Mandatory Experience
The candidate must have verifiable production experience at a company that manufactures electronic hardware (networking equipment, power electronics, industrial controls, embedded systems, or similar). Warehouse, logistics, and general light-assembly backgrounds do not qualify.
Wiring & Interconnect Assembly
• Wire stripping, cutting, termination, and crimping
• Wire routing, lacing, and cable management inside enclosures
• Reading and following wiring diagrams, assembly drawings, and SOPs
• Installing connectors, interconnects, and wire harnesses
Circuit Board & Component Installation
• Installing PCBs, daughterboards, and modules into chassis per SOPs
• Connecting ribbon cables, headers, and board-to-board connectors
• Securing boards with standoffs, screws, and proper ESD handling
Mechanical Assembly
• Electric screwdrivers (torque-controlled), ratchets, pliers, wire strippers, flush cutters
• Assembling metal/plastic enclosures (rack-mount and desktop form factors)
• Installing faceplates, outlet modules, brackets per BOMs and work instructions
Soldering
Through-hole and basic SMT soldering experience is required. Must produce clean, reliable joints without supervision.
Physical Strength Requirement
Able to lift 50 lbs equipment.

Required Technical Competencies
Testing & Validation
• Running functional validation tests on completed assemblies using PC-based test stations
• Calibrating PDU outlets per documented test procedures
• Safety testing: Hi-Pot (dielectric withstand) and Ground Bond continuity
Firmware & Computer Skills
• Connecting devices to PC via USB/serial for firmware upload using proprietary tools
• Basic computer literacy: Windows navigation, terminal/command-line, data entry
Quality Control & Packaging
• Visual/functional inspection of finished units; identifying defects, loose connections, missing components
• Packaging PDUs with accessories (power cords, sensors, brackets, documentation)

Job Title
Assembly Technician, Electronics Technician, Production Technician, Electromechanical Assembler, Wiring Technician or similar.
Resume Keywords
Must mention at least 3 of: wiring, crimping, soldering, PCB installation, cable assembly, Hi-Pot testing, enclosure assembly
Tool Familiarity
Electric screwdrivers, crimpers, soldering iron, wire strippers, flush cutters, multimeters
SOP Experience
Must have followed written standard operating procedures in a production environment
Automatic Disqualifiers — Do Not Submit
• No verifiable experience in electronics manufacturing or hardware assembly
• Experience limited to warehouse work, pick-and-pack, or non-technical light assembly
• Cannot demonstrate familiarity with electronics assembly hand tools
• Unable to read and follow written assembly procedures or wiring diagrams
• No soldering experience whatsoever
Preferred (Not Required)
• Familiarity with Hi-Pot and Ground Bond safety testing
