Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Assembly Services Technician to support the manufacture and assembly of custom solutions and assembly services. This role works closely with production planners, buyers, estimators, and warehouse associates to build, pack, and ship assemblies that meet exact customer specifications.
Candidates with previous experience at Tesla as an Assembly Technician are highly preferred, as this role requires working in a fast-paced, quality-driven manufacturing environment with strong attention to efficiency and lean manufacturing principles.
The key performance metric for this role is achieving 100% completed assemblies for the day, ensuring productivity, quality, and on-time production.
Key Responsibilities
Build and assemble products following certification and quality processes
Pack and ship assemblies according to customer specifications
Coordinate with production planners, buyers, and warehouse teams to meet schedules
Prepare job instruction packets and support production planning
Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work environment
Apply lean manufacturing principles to improve productivity and safety
Support quality objectives including order accuracy, inventory accuracy, and on-time shipment
Follow all standard work procedures and company processes
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent
Experience working in a manufacturing or assembly environment
Previous experience as an Assembly Technician at Tesla strongly preferred
Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
Basic computer, math, and English skills
Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and perform physical tasks throughout the shift
Ability to multi-task and meet production deadlines
Willingness to work 2nd shift (1:30 PM – 10:00 PM)
Preferred Experience
Assembly certifications
Warehouse or distribution experience
Experience in high-volume manufacturing environments
Work Environment
Production floor and warehouse setting
Standing, bending, lifting, and moving throughout the shift
Frequent collaboration with internal teams
