We are seeking an Assembly Services Technician for a contract opportunity in Fremont, CA. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented manufacturing professional who enjoys hands-on assembly work, following clear production standards, and contributing to high-quality customer solutions.
The Assembly Services Technician will work in a production and warehouse environment alongside planners, buyers, estimators, and warehouse associates to build, pack, and prepare assemblies that meet customer specifications. Key Responsibilities
- Build custom assemblies according to job instructions, certifications, customer specifications, and approved production processes.
- Work with production planning, purchasing, estimating, and warehouse teams to support accurate, on-time completion of daily assembly goals.
- Follow standard work procedures, quality objectives, and lean manufacturing practices to improve safety, accuracy, and productivity.
- Complete housekeeping and organization tasks to maintain an efficient, clean, and well-organized production area.
- Support order accuracy, inventory accuracy, ship-to-promise goals, and overall product quality expectations.
- Participate in continual process improvement efforts and help create or maintain job instruction packets as needed.
Compensation and Benefits
- Pay rate: $25 to $27.50 per hour.
- Job type: Contract/Temporary.
- Schedule: Monday through Friday.
- Day shift: 5:00 AM to 1:30 PM.
- Swing shift: 1:30 PM to 10:00 PM.
- Shift assignment is determined by the supervisor.
- Location: Fremont, CA.
- Build and complete daily custom assemblies according to production requirements.
- Follow certification guidelines, approved processes, and standard work procedures.
- Support production scheduling and job instruction packet preparation as needed.
- Maintain quality, accuracy, cleanliness, and on-time completion in a manufacturing environment.
- High school diploma required.
- 3 to 5 years of relevant manufacturing, assembly, warehouse distribution, or related experience preferred.
- Some experience in a manufacturing environment required.
- Proficient computer skills required.
- Basic math and English skills required.
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to understand product features and assembly requirements.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced production setting.
- Ability to follow processes, apply lean manufacturing concepts, and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and perform physical tasks including bending, stretching, stooping, standing, and working on your feet for most of the day.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with internal stakeholders.
- Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to quality, accuracy, integrity, and continuous improvement.
Preferred Qualifications
- Assembly certifications preferred.
- Warehouse distribution experience preferred.
- Experience working in a lean manufacturing or continuous improvement environment preferred.
- Experience with custom assembly, production documentation, inventory accuracy, or order fulfillment preferred.
