Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Assembly Service Technician for a contract/temporary opportunity in Fremont, CA. This role supports a manufacturing and operations environment focused on building custom assemblies that meet customer specifications, quality standards, and daily production goals.

The Assembly Service Technician will work closely with production planners, buyers, estimators, warehouse associates, and operations leadership to assemble, pack, and prepare products for shipment. Key Responsibilities

- Build custom assemblies according to work instructions, certification guidelines, approvals, and customer specifications.
- Work with production planning, purchasing, estimating, and warehouse teams to support accurate and on-time completion of daily assembly goals.
- Pack and prepare completed assemblies for shipment while maintaining order accuracy and quality standards.
- Follow standard operating procedures, lean manufacturing practices, and quality objectives related to delivery, inventory accuracy, and production performance.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient production area through assigned housekeeping duties.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and assist with production scheduling and job instruction packets as needed.

Compensation and Benefits

- Job Type: Contract/Temporary.
- Location: Fremont, CA.
- Day Shift: 5:00 AM to 1:30 PM at $25.00 per hour.
- Swing Shift: 1:30 PM to 10:00 PM at $27.50 per hour.
- FLSA Status: Hourly, non-exempt.



Required Qualifications and Skills

- Build and complete custom assemblies to daily production requirements.
- Follow job instructions, standard work procedures, and product certification guidelines.
- Support packing, shipping preparation, production scheduling, and job packet creation.
- Contribute to quality, accuracy, housekeeping, and continuous improvement initiatives.

- High school diploma required.
- 3 to 5 years of relevant experience preferred.
- Some experience in a manufacturing environment required.
- Proficient computer skills required.
- Basic math and English skills required.
- Mechanical aptitude and the ability to understand and apply product features and assembly requirements.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to multi-task in a production environment.
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and perform bending, stretching, stooping, standing, and related physical tasks for most of the workday.
- Ability to communicate effectively with production, warehouse, and operations stakeholders.
- Strong awareness of scheduling, delivery needs, order accuracy, and quality expectations.

Preferred Qualifications

- Assembly certifications preferred.
- Warehouse distribution or related experience preferred.
- Experience using lean manufacturing concepts in a production or assembly environment preferred.
- Prior experience supporting custom assembly, packing, shipping, or job instruction documentation preferred.
