Job Summary
We are seeking an Assembly Service Technician for a contract opportunity in Fremont, CA. This role supports manufacturing and assembly operations by building, packing, and preparing custom assemblies that meet customer specifications, quality standards, and daily production goals.
The Assembly Service Technician will work in a hands-on production environment alongside planners, buyers, estimators, warehouse associates, and operations leadership. This is a great opportunity for someone with manufacturing, warehouse, or assembly experience who enjoys detailed work, teamwork, process improvement, and contributing to on-time customer delivery.

Key Responsibilities
- Build custom assemblies according to job instructions, customer specifications, certification guidelines, and approved production processes.
- Support daily production goals by completing assigned assemblies accurately and on schedule.
- Work with production planners, buyers, estimators, and warehouse team members to produce, pack, and ship completed assemblies.
- Follow standard work procedures, quality requirements, and lean manufacturing practices to improve efficiency and accuracy.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area through assigned housekeeping duties.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and support quality objectives related to shipping, order accuracy, inventory accuracy, and productivity.
Compensation and Benefits
- Pay range: $25 to $27.50 per hour.
- Job type: Contract/Temporary.
- Schedule: Monday through Friday.
- Shifts available: Day shift and swing shift.
- FLSA status: Hourly, non-exempt.

Required Qualifications and Skills
- Build and complete daily production assemblies according to specifications and job instruction packets.
- Support packing, shipping, and production workflow in a manufacturing or warehouse environment.
- Follow standard work procedures, quality processes, and lean manufacturing practices.
- Maintain accuracy, productivity, and organization in a hands-on assembly role.
- High school diploma required.
- 3 to 5 years of related experience preferred.
- Some experience in a manufacturing environment required.
- Proficient computer skills.
- Basic math and English skills.
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to understand product features, requirements, and applications.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow documented instructions.
- Ability to multi-task and respond to scheduling and delivery needs.
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and perform physical tasks including bending, stretching, stooping, standing, and moving throughout a production or warehouse environment.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with cross-functional team members.
- Commitment to quality, safety, continuous improvement, customer focus, and teamwork.
Preferred Qualifications
- Assembly certifications preferred.
- Warehouse distribution experience preferred.
- Experience creating or working from production job instruction packets.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing concepts and continuous improvement practices.
