Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Assembly Associate for a temporary, part-time weekend opportunity in Wyandotte, MI. This role is ideal for someone with manufacturing, production, assembly, inspection, or forklift experience who enjoys hands-on work in a structured and safety-focused environment.
As an Assembly Associate, you will support production quality by inspecting finished products, completing basic assembly and finishing tasks, recording production data, and helping keep materials moving efficiently. This position offers a consistent weekend schedule, competitive hourly pay, and the opportunity to work with a supportive team that values safety, accuracy, teamwork, and strong work habits.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect finished products for defects and complete minor assembly and finishing tasks to meet quality standards.
- Record inspection results and production data accurately in electronic systems.
- Use rulers, gauges, small hand tools, and measuring equipment to verify product specifications.
- Perform routine equipment safety and quality checks and assist with equipment changeovers.
- Move inspected materials to designated staging areas for warehouse transfer.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area while following all safety procedures and PPE requirements.
Compensation and Benefits
- Pay rate: $21 per hour.
- Schedule: Saturday and Sunday only, 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM.
- Job type: Temporary, part-time weekend shift.
- Location: Wyandotte, MI.

Required Qualifications and Skills
- Inspect finished products and complete basic assembly, finishing, and quality control tasks.
- Record production and inspection data accurately in electronic systems.
- Operate hi-low equipment and assist with safe material movement.
- Support equipment checks, changeovers, and production efficiency.
- 1 to 2 years of relevant manufacturing, production, assembly, inspection, or warehouse experience preferred.
- At least 1 year of hi-low or forklift driving experience required.
- Stable work history, including at least 1 year at previous positions and no frequent short-term employment.
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
- Comfortable sitting for extended periods while performing detailed inspection tasks.
- Basic English communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Basic math skills required.
- Experience using measuring tools such as rulers, gauges, or similar inspection tools.
- Strong attention to detail and good visual acuity.
- Ability to troubleshoot minor equipment issues independently or with team members.
- Must be able to wear required PPE, including hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, and hearing protection.
- Additional medical clearance required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in an assembly line, quality inspection, production, or manufacturing environment.
- Experience working weekend or overnight shifts.
- Familiarity with standard operating procedures, safety guidelines, and production documentation systems.
