We are seeking a skilled Assembler / Solderer to support precision manufacturing and sub-assembly operations in Camarillo, CA. This is a great opportunity for a hands-on manufacturing professional with J-Standard soldering experience who enjoys detailed assembly work, blueprint reading, and contributing to high-quality production in a structured shop environment.
This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in accuracy, consistency, and teamwork. You will work with mechanical parts, small precision hand tools, and detailed work instructions to build assemblies that meet production and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble product components, parts, and sub-assemblies according to blueprints, specifications, and work instructions.
- Perform in-process inspections to ensure assemblies meet quality and production standards.
- Operate mechanical and small precision hand tools to complete detailed assembly and soldering tasks.
- Perform repair, rework, disassembly, and rebuilding of assemblies or sub-assemblies as needed.
- Request materials from the stockroom and support production schedules by maintaining workflow.
- Assist with training new personnel and promote teamwork, safety, and constructive work behaviors.
Compensation and Benefits
- Pay: $24 to $30 per hour, depending on experience.
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
- Saturday schedule: 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM.
- Overtime is required Monday through Saturday.
- Employment type: Temp-to-hire opportunity.
- Build assemblies and sub-assemblies per blueprint, specifications, and production requirements.
- Perform soldering, rework, and repair on assemblies or sub-assemblies.
- Conduct in-process inspections and support daily production schedules.
- Use precision hand tools and mechanical tools to complete detailed assembly work.
- 1 to 2 years of relevant assembly, soldering, or manufacturing experience preferred.
- J-Standard certification required.
- Ability to read and follow blueprints, specifications, work instructions, and production procedures.
- Experience using small precision hand tools and mechanical assembly tools.
- Ability to understand and perform production processes with minimal assistance.
- Strong attention to detail, quality, and workmanship.
- Dependable attendance and willingness to work required overtime.
- Ability to work well in a team environment and support training of new team members.
- Must meet ITAR requirements as a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident.
- Must pass required background and drug screening.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in aerospace, defense, electronics, or other regulated manufacturing environments.
- Prior experience performing soldering to J-Standard requirements.
- Familiarity with repair, rework, disassembly, and rebuilding of assemblies.
- Experience working in a fast-paced production environment with quality and schedule expectations.
