Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Assembler II for a temp-to-hire opportunity in Minneapolis, MN. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented manufacturing professional with medical device assembly or ISO-certified assembly experience who enjoys hands-on work, precision, and contributing to products that support quality patient care.
The Assembler II will work in a structured, quality-focused production environment where accuracy, teamwork, and continuous improvement are valued. This position offers a consistent Monday through Thursday schedule, supportive leadership, and the opportunity to grow within a collaborative manufacturing team. Key Responsibilities
- Assemble medical devices across two or more product lines while meeting or exceeding established production quantity standards.
- Follow written line procedures, quality system policies, work instructions, and supervisor or lead direction to ensure compliant production.
- Complete accurate manufacturing documentation, including Device History Records, data sheets, lot control records, and related production forms.
- Operate manufacturing and measurement equipment after training, which may include microscopes, test equipment, ultrasonic welders, soldering irons, dial calipers, pressure gauges, and rulers.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and efficient work area by following housekeeping, ergonomics, job rotation, tool handling, and preventive maintenance guidelines.
- Support Lean Manufacturing and shared leadership activities, including Kanban management, calibration support, and metrics board maintenance.
Compensation and Benefits
- Pay: $20 to $20.80 per hour.
- Job Type: Temp-to-Hire.
- Schedule: Monday through Thursday, 5:00am to 3:30pm.
- Location: Minneapolis, MN.
- Overtime and varying shifts may be required as needed.

Required Qualifications and Skills
- Assemble medical devices and small components in a regulated production environment.
- Follow detailed procedures, work instructions, quality standards, and production priorities.
- Maintain accurate manufacturing records and documentation.
- Support safe, efficient production through Lean Manufacturing practices and teamwork.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- 2 years of previous medical device assembly or ISO-certified assembly experience required.
- Ability to understand and follow verbal and written work instructions.
- Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
- Ability to perform repetitive work according to set procedures, sequence, and pace.
- Fine motor skills, strong dexterity, and excellent hand-eye coordination for assembling small parts and subassemblies.
- Ability to communicate professionally by phone, email, and in person with supervisors, leads, and team members.
- Ability to stay focused, use time effectively, maintain attendance standards, and work overtime or varying shifts as needed.
- Ability to adapt to procedure changes, product line updates, and technology modifications.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of Good Documentation Practice, Good Manufacturing Practices, and Lean Manufacturing.
- Experience using microscopes, test equipment, EFDs, ultrasonic welders, soldering irons, dial calipers, pressure gauges, rulers, or similar manufacturing tools.
- Previous experience in shared leadership activities such as Kanban management, calibration, or production metrics tracking.
