Assembler II – Medical Device Manufacturing
Summary
Perform precision assembly of medical devices and subassemblies in a regulated manufacturing environment. Work from written procedures and work instructions to assemble components while maintaining quality and production standards. This role requires attention to detail, manual dexterity, and the ability to work in a clean room environment.
Responsibilities
Assemble medical device components and subassemblies following documented procedures and production standards.
Perform repetitive assembly tasks using small parts and precision tools.
Accurately complete production documentation, including device history records and other manufacturing records.
Follow quality standards and regulatory requirements in a highly controlled manufacturing environment.
Interpret written and verbal work instructions and follow established production schedules and priorities.
Maintain awareness of production goals and proactively communicate material shortages or production concerns.
Support continuous improvement initiatives and assist with process improvements where applicable.
Cross train on multiple product lines or assembly processes as needed.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment while following safety and housekeeping procedures.
Collaborate with team members, leads, and supervisors to meet production targets.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
1–2 years of assembly experience in a regulated manufacturing environment such as medical device, electronics, or other ISO-certified industries.
Ability to follow detailed written and verbal instructions.
Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
Strong attention to detail and ability to perform repetitive work with consistent quality.
Ability to work in a clean room environment and follow required procedures.
Fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination required for handling small components.
Familiarity with manufacturing tools and measurement equipment such as microscopes, gauges, calipers, soldering tools, or similar equipment is helpful.
Basic computer skills for completing production documentation.
