Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Assembler for a contract/temporary opportunity in State College, PA. This role is ideal for a hands-on manufacturing professional who enjoys precision assembly, following detailed work instructions, and contributing to the production of high-quality components and medical devices.

As an Assembler, you will work in a structured, quality-focused production environment where safety, teamwork, training, and continuous improvement are valued. Key Responsibilities

- Perform hands-on assembly of components, sensors, probes, transducers, cable assemblies, and medical device products according to approved procedures.
- Read and follow drawings, diagrams, work orders, written procedures, manufacturing documentation, and verbal instructions.
- Complete hand soldering, bonding, attaching, closing, fixture preparation, and limited product testing as required.
- Maintain accurate production records, labor time entries, device history records, data sheets, and lot control documentation.
- Follow safety, quality, clean room, 5S, housekeeping, Lean, and continuous improvement practices.
- Work collaboratively with team members, leads, and supervisors to meet production schedules, quality standards, and efficiency goals.

Compensation

- Pay range: $16 to $20 per hour.
- Job type: Contract/Temporary.



Required Qualifications and Skills

- Assemble components into finished products according to written procedures, drawings, and quality standards.
- Perform hand soldering, bonding, cable assembly, fixture preparation, and limited testing.
- Complete production documentation and accurately record labor time in an MRP system.
- Maintain a safe, clean, organized work area while supporting Lean and 5S practices.

- High school diploma required.
- Typically requires less than 1 year of related assembly or manufacturing experience.
- Ability to sit for extended periods and perform detailed, repetitive assembly tasks.
- Ability to read and interpret drawings, diagrams, work orders, procedures, and verbal instructions.
- Basic computer literacy required.
- Ability to follow quality system policies, manufacturing procedures, and job standards.
- Strong attention to detail, reliability, attendance, teamwork, and respect for production schedules.
- Willingness to cross-train on different production lines or departments as business needs require.
- Ability to work overtime and varying shifts as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with hand soldering.
- Experience using a microscope for miniature component assembly.
- Experience working in clean room, medical device, electronics, sensor assembly, or precision manufacturing environments.
- Familiarity with Eddy Current, Ultrasonic, or BondMaster inspection methods is a plus.
