Assembly Operator II – 2nd Shift
Location: St. Paul, MN, USA 55117
Pay Rate: $20.25/hr (Non-Exempt; overtime eligible at 1.5x after 40 hours)
Position Summary
The Operator II is responsible for producing high-quality medical devices within a manufacturing cell. This role involves detailed assembly, operation of production equipment, and adherence to documented procedures to ensure product quality and compliance. Work may be performed in a controlled cleanroom environment.
Key Responsibilities
Assemble medical devices and related components following detailed procedures and safety standards.
Perform electronic assembly, casting/coating, mechanical assembly, and packaging tasks.
Operate microscopes, hand tools, razor blades, syringes, soldering equipment, adhesive bonding tools, and other production machinery.
Conduct visual inspection and precision measurements on components and completed assemblies.
Perform functional testing using computerized test equipment.
Repair and rework devices or components using microscopes and approved tools.
Clean equipment and tools per documented protocols.
Dispose of hazardous waste in designated hazardous waste areas according to safety guidelines.
Ensure accurate documentation and complete packaging of devices.
Perform routine manufacturing assignments under close and continuous review.
Prioritize tasks based on production needs and deadlines.
Make critical decisions and judgments while working with minimal supervision.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED required
2+ years of manufacturing, production, or related experience
Ability to follow standardized procedures with strong attention to detail
Comfortable working in a cleanroom environment when required
Strong manual dexterity and ability to work with small components
