We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Medical Device Assembler II to join our manufacturing team. This role is ideal for someone with hands-on assembly experience in a medical device or ISO-certified environment who is comfortable working with small components, following strict documentation standards, and adapting to evolving procedures. You will play a key role in building high-quality products that support patient care and meet rigorous regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
Apply the knowledge and abilities gained from Assembler I experience to perform advanced assembly tasks
Assemble medical devices across two or more product lines at or above established production standards
Reference and explain written line procedures, demonstrating a solid understanding of Quality System Policies
Complete accurate production documentation, including Device History Records, Data Sheets, and Lot Control
Follow instructions from Supervisors or Leads regarding priorities, schedules, special assignments, and job standards
Adapt to procedural changes and learn new processes as product lines and technologies evolve
Cross-train on various product line operations as needed
Assist senior assemblers or Leads with training activities
Apply Lean Manufacturing principles to support continuous improvement
Proactively notify Leads or Supervisors of material shortages
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment following all safety and ergonomic guidelines
Meet attendance expectations and work overtime or varied shifts when required
Use time effectively, remain focused on assigned tasks, and avoid disruptions to others
Participate in Shared Leadership activities such as Kanban management, calibration, or metrics board maintenance
Perform other essential duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required, with 1–2 years of medical device or ISO-certified assembly experience
Without a diploma: 2–3 years of medical device or ISO-certified assembly experience required
Ability to communicate effectively via phone, email, and in person
Ability to understand verbal and written work instructions
Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
Ability to work in a clean-room environment and follow all clean-room procedures
Comfortable performing repetitive tasks according to set procedures, sequence, and pace
Knowledge of Good Documentation Practices (GDP), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and Lean Manufacturing required
Strong fine-motor skills, dexterity, and hand-eye coordination for assembling small parts and subassemblies
Ability to operate manufacturing and measurement equipment after training, including microscopes, test equipment, EFDs, ultrasonic welders, soldering irons, dial calipers, pressure gauges, and rulers
Basic MS Windows skills and ability to learn site-specific software
