AppleOne has partnered with a wonderful organization needing an Arts Program Assistant. This role is designed to provide both administrative and in-field support, helping ensure that teaching artists are well-equipped, supported, and set up for success across multiple school sites. The ideal candidate is organized, communicative, collaborative, and passionate about arts education. This is a direct hire role.

This is a hybrid position with minimal time spent working in-office. The majority of hours will be spent traveling to partner schools and program sites. The schedule will vary based on program needs, school calendars, and site visits. Reliable transportation and the ability to travel regularly are required.

Key Responsibilities:
Administrative & Program Support
• Assist the Arts Program Coordinator with administrative tasks, including scheduling meetings, appointments, and interviews.
• Prepare, print, and organize curriculum materials.
• Assemble and distribute teacher kits and instructional supplies.
• Maintain organized program records, documentation, and materials.
• Support the smooth, day-to-day operation of organization programs.

Field Support & Teaching Artist Supervision
• Conduct site visits at partner schools and program locations.
• Support the supervision of teaching artists across multiple school sites.
• Assist with teacher assessments, feedback, and ongoing support.
• Serve as a consistent point of contact for teaching artists working in the field.
• Communicate professionally and collaboratively with school staff, site administrators, and community partners.

Instructional & Coverage Support
• Serve as an additional substitute Teaching Artist when coverage is needed.
• Provide hands-on, in-field support to ensure program continuity and quality.

Qualifications & Skills:
• Minimum of two (2) years of teaching experience in school or after-school settings.
• Experience in musical theatre, theatre, and technical theatre.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Ability to collaborate effectively with program leadership, Teaching Artists, and external partners.
• Professional, approachable demeanor with strong communication skills.
• Reliable, supportive, and adaptable in a multi-site, fast-paced environment.
• Ability and willingness to travel regularly to school sites.
