Job Summary:
AppleOne Recruiting Agency is seeking an outside sales professional to represent our client in the agricultural sector, covering the territory from Bakersfield to Stockton. The ideal candidate will have an Agronomy degree or experience in plant nutrition, with strong grower relations skills and a commitment to company culture. This hybrid role requires a balance of fieldwork and office collaboration, involving some travel within the assigned region.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve sales targets across the Bakersfield to Stockton area.
Build and nurture strong relationships with growers, distributors, and agribusiness partners.
Leverage agronomy knowledge and expertise in plant nutrition to provide technical support and solutions to customers.
Identify and secure new business opportunities while maintaining and growing existing accounts.
Represent the company with professionalism and integrity, fitting well within the company culture.
Lead and coordinate with internal teams (marketing, supply chain, technical) to ensure product availability and successful promotions.
Prepare and present sales forecasts, reports, and market feedback to management.
Conduct field visits regularly and participate in industry events, trade shows, and customer meetings.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Agronomy or related field OR strong experience in plant nutrition.
Minimum 3-5 years of outside sales experience in the agricultural sector, preferably with a focus on grower relations.
Proven track record in meeting or exceeding sales targets.
Deep understanding of crop production, plant nutrition, and grower needs.
Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a commitment to company culture and values.
Willingness to travel regularly within the territory.
Proficiency with MS Office and CRM software preferred.
