A growing, high-quality restaurant and gourmet market group in Miami is seeking an experienced Area Manager – Restaurants & Market to oversee multiple market locations across South Florida. The Area Manager will work closely with market leadership, HR, and senior operations leaders to build strong teams, improve consistency, support new initiatives, and ensure each location delivers outstanding service, quality, cleanliness, safety, and profitability. Key Responsibilities

- Oversee daily operations for multiple gourmet market locations, ensuring consistent guest service, food quality, cleanliness, safety, and operational standards.
- Lead, coach, train, and develop General Managers and team members while supporting recruiting, performance management, counseling, recognition, and employee engagement.
- Partner with operations leadership to achieve sales, service, safety, quality, appearance, labor, and profitability objectives across assigned locations.
- Monitor food production standards, inventory, labor schedules, cost controls, cash handling, reporting, and compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Evaluate product quality, service trends, guest satisfaction, and operational issues, then implement improvements that strengthen performance and revenue.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, county, and municipal regulations related to food safety, sanitation, labor, health, and guest safety.

Compensation and Benefits

- Salary range: $90,000 to $110,000 per year.

Required Qualifications and Skills

- Oversee multi-unit gourmet market and restaurant operations across multiple South Florida locations.
- Drive operational performance, sales growth, cost controls, service standards, and team accountability.
- Lead training, staffing, employee development, performance management, and policy compliance.
- Support market-level initiatives, marketing efforts, upselling programs, and new operational procedures.

- Minimum 5 years of leadership experience in high-volume gourmet markets, full-service restaurants, or similar multi-unit food service operations.
- Multi-unit management experience required, including experience leading managers and teams across multiple locations.
- College degree required. Bachelor’s degree in hotel, restaurant, or hospitality management is desirable. A combination of fine dining experience and education may be considered.
- Strong knowledge of profit and loss reports, labor management, food and beverage costs, supplies, equipment, inventory control, and operational reporting.
- Experience training staff on company procedures, service standards, operational systems, and hospitality industry best practices.
- Wine knowledge required.
- Above-average cocktail knowledge required.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel required.
- Experience with POS systems, inventory software, and restaurant or market operating systems required.
- Florida Sanitation Certification required.
- Food Handler Certification required.
- Bilingual English and Spanish required.
- Must have a valid Florida driver license, reliable transportation, and the ability to travel to multiple locations within South Florida.
- Must be local to the Miami, FL area.
- Ability to work in a standing or walking position for 10 or more hours as needed.
- Strong leadership, communication, organization, prioritization, scheduling, problem-solving, and follow-through skills.
- Must be self-disciplined, proactive, professional, guest-focused, and able to work well under pressure.

Preferred Qualifications

- Bachelor of Science degree in hotel, restaurant, hospitality management, or a related field.
- Experience with new location launches, market openings, or high-growth multi-unit restaurant operations.
- Fine dining, premium market, Argentine cuisine, steakhouse, specialty foods, wine-focused, or high-end hospitality experience.
- Demonstrated success improving guest satisfaction, team performance, revenue, labor cost, inventory controls, and operational consistency.
