We are seeking an Architectural Project Leader for a direct hire opportunity in Coastal North County San Diego. This role is ideal for an experienced architecture professional who enjoys combining design creativity with strong technical documentation, BIM coordination, and project leadership.

The Architectural Project Leader will join a collaborative design environment focused on complex residential, commercial, and office-related construction projects. This is a strong opportunity for someone who values teamwork, supportive leadership, technical excellence, and the ability to contribute across multiple phases of architectural practice. The role offers the chance to mentor junior staff, coordinate with consultants and clients, and help guide projects from early design through construction documentation and agency review.

Key Responsibilities

- Produce and coordinate architectural documents through schematic design, design development, construction documentation, and construction administration phases.
- Create and manage detailed Revit and BIM models, plans, elevations, sections, details, renderings, and presentation materials.
- Coordinate architectural drawings with consultants, vendors, clients, and internal project team members to resolve conflicts and maintain design intent.
- Support agency review processes, site surveys, project detailing, material research, and product selection.
- Review technical work prepared by junior designers and provide guidance to support quality, accuracy, and project deadlines.
- Participate in design charrettes, critiques, presentations, and client meetings.

Compensation and Benefits

- Compensation: $90,000 to $110,000 per year.

Additional Skills

Required Qualifications and Skills

- 5 to 6 or more years of experience producing and coordinating architectural documents through multiple project phases.
- Revit experience.
- Professional degree in Architecture, such as a B.Arch or M.Arch, preferred.
- Licensed Architect or actively pursuing architectural licensure, preferred
- Strong knowledge of architectural documentation, building codes, construction terminology, and detailing.
- Experience with agency review processes, including DSA and HCAI procedures.
- Proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Creative Suite, Photoshop, SketchUp, and Lumion.
- Strong design, technical, graphic presentation, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Ability to manage priorities, delegate work, mentor junior staff, and coordinate effectively with clients, consultants, and internal teams.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience supporting complex architectural projects from early design through completion.
- Background in residential, commercial, or office construction environments.
- Advanced Revit modeling, BIM coordination, rendering, and presentation capabilities.
- Demonstrated ability to balance creative design thinking with technical documentation accuracy.
