We are looking for a creative and inspired architect to handle projects from the initial client briefing through to the final stages of construction. The architect's responsibilities include managing client relationships, developing and presenting design proposals, preparing drawings, specifications, budgets, construction documents, and managing project teams. You should be able to take ownership of your project, be it the design and construction of a new building, an extension, alterations or a restoration project, and deliver on the client's requirements.
Responsibilities:
• Directs and supervises the project services of assigned Job Captain and Interns
• Approves building code review
• Project communication point for PIC, Client, and Contractor
• Organize meetings, finalizes and distributes minutes (CCA standards)
• Coordinates and approves planning & zoning submittals
• Coordinates all other review agencies (authorities having jurisdiction – AHJ)
• Establish project schedule, manpower, and Budget
• Establishes contracts with and coordinates all consultants
• Coaches and mentors job captains
• Monitors monthly invoices/Accumulated hours and reviews with PIC
• Reviews design for ADA compliance
• Approves products with proven track record
• Oversee production schedule compliance, and provide production where necessary
• Overall responsibility for project profitability
• Overall responsibility for drawing and specification coordination
• Prepares cost proposals for add services
• Maintains LEED/Sustainability and design to cost focusOwner’s budget
Requirements:
• Licensed Architect
• Proven ability as a Project Manager
• Must be comfortable in presenting the firm’s work, articulate in group settings and effective in facilitating client meetings
• Proven ability to communicate effectively with internal and external teams, principals, billing personnel, clients and contractors
• Proven ability to meet cost and schedule deadlines
• Proven ability to schedule and monitor work production hours for cost effectiveness
• Reliable and accurate in all work products
• Proven ability on complete construction detailing (able to accurately detail all types of construction and redline for Interns/Job Captains)
• Proven ability to organize, schedule, lead, and monitor a project
• Proven ability to manage and motivate a team for timely project completion
• Proven ability to assist in follow-up of invoices and payment
• Willingly takes direction from superiors
• Must have demonstrated ability in all PM areas on previous projects
