Are you ready to transition from hands-on technical work to a customer-facing role? We’re seeking an Applications Engineer who combines engineering knowledge with strong communication skills to support solution-based sales. This position offers extensive training and a clear path to a technical sales career.
Responsibilities
Provide technical support and recommend solutions for customer applications.
Review specifications and assist with proposal development.
Build relationships with key accounts and support growth initiatives.
Participate in trade shows and customer visits as needed.
Required Qualifications-
Experience:
3–5 years working with or repairing solid-state frequency converters or related power-electronics systems for aircraft ground power (400 Hz AC, 270 VDC, 28 VDC).
Familiarity with onboard frequency converters and aircraft electrical systems.
Hands-on exposure to installations in hangars or flight-line environments.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology (BSEE/BSEET preferred) OR equivalent military/MRO experience with strong electrical knowledge.
Strong understanding of electrical or electronic systems.
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Resident status required.
Preferred Background
Prior experience in aviation, aerospace, or related technical fields.
Familiarity with power systems or electrical components.
Experience with DoD procurement processes, UFGS standards, or NAVFAC/USACE projects.
Prior service as an aircraft electrician, avionics technician, or power systems field service engineer.
