Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Air Import/Export professional for a direct hire opportunity in Walnut, CA. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented freight forwarding candidate who understands air import and air export operations and enjoys managing shipments from start to finish.

The Air Import/Export role supports time-sensitive logistics activity, including shipment coordination, customer updates, customs communication, carrier follow-up, and operational documentation. This is a strong opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced import-export environment, values teamwork, and wants to contribute to smooth, accurate, and reliable freight movement.

Candidates who succeed in this role are proactive communicators, highly organized, and comfortable working with customers, overseas offices, customs brokers, carriers, warehouses, trucking providers, and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage daily air import and air export operations from file opening through shipment completion.
- Receive pre-alerts, coordinate with CHB, support shipment release, and schedule trucking to customers.
- Open, maintain, and update operational files for air import and export shipments.
- Monitor air and domestic shipments through carriers, terminals, warehouses, and trucking providers.
- Provide ETA and ETD updates, shipment status reports, and proactive customer communication.
- Review customer billing, vendor invoices, shipment data, and operational documents for accuracy.

Compensation and Benefits

- Salary range: $52,000 to $58,000 per year.
- Job type: Direct hire.
